Laura Foss began teaching third/fourth grade at DES in 2019. Mrs. Foss taught in Plainville at Sacred Heart Grade School from 1994-1995 and 1996-2019. She was the first grade teacher for 20 years and the Principal for 4 years. She holds a Bachelor Degree from Fort Hays State University and a Master Degree in Elementary Administration from Fort Hays as well as a Pre-k - 12 Building Leadership. She and her husband make their home in Plainville and have two children and a grandson.
Laura has a great excitement for teaching reading comprehension and cross-curricular assignments. She also enjoys adding a great number of STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading/Research, Engineering, Arts, and Math) projects into her Science program. This gives her students many opportunities to be working in teams with a good number of hands on activities.
